“There’s never a dull moment at the Evans Estate and since I spy Bloody Marys on the table, it looks like we’ve arrived in time for one of their infamous brunches. I’ll just go lie over by the pool while y’all check out Team Henderson’s latest e-newsletter (more like our town’s gossip rag), see what shenanigans did not make the cut, and have a glance at some of the most titillating moments in our town’s history.”
Taking a page out of Christy Lynn Brilhart’s playbook (Henderson’s all round do-gooder, and soon to be wife of Coach Crenshaw), Liz Kelly Books is interested in spreading joy. During the second half of 2017, a portion of the profits from the sale of all books will be donated to Project Night Night.
Here’s why I love this idea.
Project Night Night creates packages for homeless children. The packages contain a blanket, a stuffed animals, and a children’s book in order to help the kids “feel secure, cozy, significant, and ready to learn.”
P.S. My assistant Anna and I are trying to figure out how to do “Big Girl” Night Night packages complete with a stuffed Vance, or Pinks, or Thor to make you feel cozy and secure.
