Each year Henderson Country Club is the home for Emelina’s Kentucky Derby Hat Competition. This is the drink Harry has come up with to help the rest of the ladies get through it.

2 oz. Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon
½ oz. cherry juice
Half a vanilla bean pod cut into segments
1 tsp. powdered sugar
Mint sprig, cherry, & vanilla bean pod for garnish
Crushed ice

1. To a julep cup add cherry juice, vanilla pod segments, and powdered sugar.
2. Muddle together.
3. Add crushed iced to 2/3 of the cup
4. Add the Woodford Reserve
5. Top off with more crushed ice.
6. Garnish with mint, cherry, & vanilla pod.
